I found yoga during my first year in college. I liked how yoga made me feel but never connected the dots as to why. Fast forward 10 years and I was practicing yoga to combat a stressful work environment sometimes even going twice a day. Yoga helped me leave that job and I signed up for a yoga teacher training because I had the time and space for something new. During my yoga teacher training I became pregnant with my son. Becoming pregnant during the training was very challenging however I learned hands on how to modify the practice for my changing body. Yoga brought me back to who I always was. I am nothing without my yoga practice, it is vital for my life!
I have been teaching for 10 years. I attended the Beyond Asana 200 hour vinyasa yoga teacher training in 2012 in Philadelphia, PA. I have 105 hours in pre and postnatal yoga. I am a La Leche League Leader and a new Non-violent Communication instructor. I love being a student and you’ll often find me in trainings and continuing education classes.
I love teaching beginners and stressed out parents. Beginners often see the greatest results from practicing breathing and movement. I enjoy working with new parents and supporting them through their journey of postpartum. I am a firm believer in creating challenging classes so that you release as much stress as you can, don’t worry I leave lots of time for rest and rejuvenation. I am a mother, breastfeeding advocate, writer, gardener, lover of all things in nature. I hope to see you on your mat.
